Troubled by spam? Don't you wish you lived in Washington State. Their Supreme Court recently upheld a law prohibiting the falsification of return email address information on Unsolicited Commerical Email (UCE or SPAM). You can sue for $1,000 per message recieved. Here's a great
article
on how to sue and what results you might have. Plus you can get an
email
with a server in the state of Washington. The article says that $8.5 billion will be spent this year downloading SPAM. I'm curious how that number compares to the total revenue of all ISP's combined. Then again AOL says one-third of their email traffic is SPAM.
