Check those Bleeding Statues

I've been doing a little thinking about those statues of the Virgin Mary (and others) that supposedly bleed.  Someone should get some of that blood and run the DNA.  When her next statue starts bleeding compare the DNA.  If they don't match then one is a hoax.  If a bunch of her statues all bleed but none of the DNA matches (and it won't) then they are all hoaxes but one.  (Well, really I think they are all hoaxes but I can only “prove” that all but one are hoaxes.)

Nick Berg vs. Abu Ghraib
Instapundit has an interesting post on what the media is covering vs. what people are searching for.

Fake Prisoner Abuse Photos
Ha!  The Boston Globe ran some very graphic photos showing prisoner abuse in Iraq.  Except it turns out they were staged porn pics.  Suckers.  (And no the link doesn't go to the pictures.)  This following on the heels of rumors about the authenticity of some of the pictures of British abuse.  The least these papers can do is get their facts straight.  This stuff was going on and I'd sure like to understand what really happened.  Oh and the publisher of the Boston Globe?  The New York Times.

Banning DDT Kills People
TCS has an article that discusses the cost of banning DDT.  There are certain health risks associated with it.  On the other hand 2 million Africans die each year from malaria.  DDT is still the best tool for eliminating the mosquitoes that cause malaria.  Interesting trade off to make.

So if you search Google on George Bush Sucks my post is on the first page.  My John Kerry Sucks post is still stuck on the second page.  Help me out here.  Put the following link on your site:

<A href="”www.billgraziano.com/archive/2004/03/21/901.aspx”">John Kerry Sucks</A>

I want to be the only site in the first page for both candidates sucking!

MEMRI article on Iranians in Iraq
MEMRI has an article up detailing all the problems Iran is causing in Iraq.  It's kind of a dry read since it's a research paper of some kind.  Looks like Iran is still part of the Axis of Evil (TM).

Cleric's Aide Says Captured Females Can Be Slaves
I get such a kick out of that headline.  The article itself is pretty short.  So it's not OK for us to humiliate their prisoners but it's OK for them to keep ours as slaves?  Well, the British actually but I'm pretty sure they'd include our women if push came to shove.

Government Regulations Contributing to Oursourcing?
Interesting article on deregulation vs. outsourcing.  They contend that governement regulation driving up cost is a key ingrediant for outsourcing.  It makes the US much more expensive than non-regulated countries.

Cooking For Chris

This link is dedicated to Chris M. for all the great meals I've eaten after he made the food hot (aka cooked it).  It's titled Cooking in the 21st Century and starts out innocently enough.

I wanted a pan so thermally conductive that I could put a corner of it over the burner and still have it heat up all the way across.

And quickly goes downhill.  Describing his dream oven he says

It could deliver a mutli-pronged assault on the meat problem...

Yeah, we really need a “multi-pronged assault on the meat problem.“  That phrase just kills me.  I just want to brown hambuger.  This one's for  you Chris!

More Oil For Food
Maybe I should just rename this site to “It's all about Oil for Food”.  The Iraqi Governing Council supposedly has a list of people who recieved money from the program.  Publish the darn thing already.
