The Millionaire Next Door
From The Millionaire Next Door vs. the Politician in Washington:
The millionaire next door, as described in Stanley and Danko's book, is in a constant struggle with the politician in Washington. This is not a class war -- many of the politicians, lawyers, and academics on the left earn incomes that are in the top 10 or 20 percent of all Americans. Rather, it is a values war, between a group whose core values are thrift and self-reliance and a group whose core values are paternalism and redistribution.
This is an interesting article that highlights some basic differences between those that focus on their own means and those that focus on government to solve problems. Obbviously it's more of a continuum than two poles but it's a very interesting article.

Are the Iraqi terrorists capturing toy soldiers now? Maybe we should send Ken over the rescue him.

German woman forced to work in brothel

Ok, so the headline is a little sensationalized.  I've been paying particular attention to headlines lately and so many just seem stupid.  Thought I'd jump on that bandwagon.  Anyway, here's the article.

UPDATE:  While certainly an entertaining story it also appears to be false.  I guess I'm not even suprised its false as the original story seems a little over the top.
